Design engineers and system architects can now effectively extend the operational lifespan of their previous generation AMD Ryzen™-powered C6C-RYZ COM Express® module with Avnet’s latest module called the MSC C6C-RYZ2.
This module builds upon the previous generation, allowing enhanced performance, additional functionality, and prolonged usability.
“As a seamless drop-in replacement for the previous generation board, this new module allows designers to easily migrate their application to the new platform,” said Tim Jensen, Senior Director, Embedded Product Innovation. “We want to support our customers’ needs throughout the entire lifecycle of their products and this module enables both a performance upgrade and adds at least four years to the application lifecycle.”
A layer of transparent coverglass sits over all the display panels that we use every day – in smartphones and tablets, televisions and monitors – and is essential in guarding the delicate electronics underneath, while also enhancing the quality of the display.
In industrial use displays, it’s the interface through which we monitor, control, and visualize complex systems and the choice of coverglass, while far from front of mind for users, is of enormous importance. When we select coverglass for a customer’s project, we are meticulous in scoping for their precise operational and environmental needs. And there are several types for us to choose from.

To get people to interact differently with your touchscreen, you need to offer something different. For example you can bring to life the benefits of a product using an interactive table, where different aspects of the user experience are displayed as you move it around the surface.
Our SimplePlus capacitive touch screens can now offer a new object recognition system which brings the physical and digital together in an easy and fun way. Where you might normally just use human touch, we can now offer conductive tags, which fit under the object you wish to move around the screen opening up a world of new possibilities.
Ultra thin and ultra light, with outstanding optical performance, Active Matrix OLED displays have been a staple technology for smartphones and smaller consumer applications since around 2009. Happily, these small, powerful displays have recently grown in size, opening up opportunities for their use beyond handheld applications.
However, AMOLED comes with a word of caution: they are the most premium displays on the market and cost around four to five times the price of a regular display, so they’re certainly not appropriate for every application. But the difference is clear – they use 80% less power, are around 2mm thick, and offer stunning optical quality. It’s the kind of display that can elevate a product.
The MaaXBoard 8ULP SOM is a small System On Module (43mm x 36mm), that features the NXP i.MX 8ULP processor to achieve ultra-low power, EdgeLock®-secured intelligent edge applications, with rich graphic UI enablement. The i.MX 8ULP device is architected with 3 separate processor domains.
