The MaaXBoard OSM93 features an energy-efficient, combination CPU/MPU/NPU, high-performance OSM compute system based on the NXP i.MX93 processor.
The i.MX 93 device is architected with 3 separate processing domains:
An application domain that includes two Arm® Cortex®-A55 (2.7 GHz) cores,
a real time domain includes an Arm® Cortex®-M33 (250 MHz) core, and an on-board AI accelerator, Arm® Ethos-U65 MicroNPU for machine learning and computer vision applications.
The MSC-OSM-93 solder down module connects the i.MX93 processor to 16bit wide LPDDR4 (2GB) and eMMC (16GB) memory. Optimizing power on the module is the NXP PCA9451 PMIC designed to support the i.MX93. Provided on the carrier side is a QSPI flash (16Mbit).
MaaXBoard OSM93 supports a wide range of connectivity, conforming to the Raspberry Pi form factor. Included are two USB 2.0 host interfaces (Type B), one USB 2.0 host (Type C), MIPI DSI display, MIPI CSI camera interface, Pi-Hat 40pin-header, and 4pin ADC header.
Additionally, two 1G ethernet ports and two high-speed CAN interfaces along with an AI accelerator make the MaaXBoard OSM93 a strong design for edge AI, gateway applications, industrial, automotive, and medical based applications.
Audio applications are supported via a 6pin serial audio interface (SAI) header along with two integrated PDM microphones.
On the back side of the board, an M.2 module connector allows for easy integration of 801.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity.
