I don’t have a physical display available

If you do not have a physical display at hand, you can still work with graphical applications using VNC on Linux or Remote Desktop on Windows, to see you graphical application.

Steps needed:

• Configure a display overlay, e.g. our AMA101 display using the methods described at Configure base board and external hardware

• Configure Remote Desktop support for weston if you are working on Windows

• Configure VNC support for weston if you are working on Linux

• Reboot the board

Now you should be able to connect to your board, using either VNC or Remote Desktop and see your application running without a physical screen attached

Screen dimensions

The size of the screen is determined by the configured display overlay, so different overlays might result in different resolutions being presented
