I don’t have a physical display available#
If you do not have a physical display at hand, you can still work with graphical applications using
VNC on Linux or Remote Desktop on Windows, to see you graphical application.
Steps needed:
Configure a display overlay, e.g. our AMA101 display using the methods described at Configure base board and external hardware
Configure Remote Desktop support for weston if you are working on Windows
Configure VNC support for weston if you are working on Linux
Reboot the board
Now you should be able to connect to your board, using either VNC or Remote Desktop and see your application running
without a physical screen attached
Screen dimensions
The size of the screen is determined by the configured display overlay, so different overlays might result in different resolutions being presented
